QIP issues are getting larger

IDFC’s placement last week was the largest QIP issue ever. In the last 3 months, there have been 3 QIP issues over Rs 1000 crore. These are large numbers. In india, there are very few public issues (IPO/FPO) over Rs 1000 crore, as the following table shows.

Since 1 April 2006, there have been about 7 public issues involving the retail investor (IPO/FPOs) over Rs 1000 crore. So if you were to make a list of top 10 public issues, the 3 QIP issues of Max, GVK and IDFC will figure there.
